El Taller de Morgana is the project of a friend and fellow illustrator and editor from Spain Maria Parra. Her love for sewing has made her create this blog where she has started to take commissions for medieval and renaissance garments. She has proposed a line of "basic" medieval designs that you can order to be made with your measures for a price of 150 eur plus shipping. The only way now is to contact her directly through the site where you can pick the fabrics or simply request further information . She´s based in Spain. Of course we will update this article when more examples are provided as this costuming project of hers has recently launched. Note that the website is in spanish only but feel free to contact the crafter in english.

Again the year is getting close to Christmas season...! Lights are sparkling in the street, everybody seems to be happier despite the cold weather... diets can go to hell... time for candy and misbehave!. Time to remember our last year article about chrismas elfs now that my mailbox is starting to be spammed with the "elf yourself" pictures of my friends.... Anyway...
Here we go now talking about Mrs Claus and Santa Baby helpers... Becuase let´s face it, dressing like an old woman with big curves and glasses might not be the smartest (though sweet) option to be the "queen of the party" (private or not ;-))
So here some tips to become a younger sexier Mrs Claus this Christmas

Tooled Tassel Sporran. This exquisite pouch is hand tooled with an intricate celtic dog and knot design (one of my favorites). Maybe because I love celtic dogs and I also love the choice of colors of this one, it really highlights the pattern.
The Well dressed lady is a company that makes lovely historical garments at really affordable prices result of the work of the designer and seamstress Frankie Laporte, based in USA. Von Lancelot is an ebay store that feature a very affordable collection of renaissance, medieval, pirate, colonial and vintage garments.
I have to say that it's one of those rare cases where the quality of the actual real garment might be more than you were waiting for the price you paid and the photos provided by ebay. I have a neighbor that ordered one and I'll say it was an offer (because they have lots of sales and special offers too) and I was surprised because it was much better than she and I had expected and it really suited her well, she´s become a happy customer so I have seen quite a few of the things with my eyes. The fabric was really soft and the trim was not cheesy. Of course you can always order a simple garment and ten use it as a base to customize it.
