Your Fantasy Costume

Uptight Clothing is a small independent business based in UK  specializing in couture corseted wedding/bridal gowns, underwear corsets and fantasy jewellery. All the gowns are  inspired by period, theatrical and fantasy elements.  In vibrant colours and with exquisite embroidery all elements are one of a kind and completely designed and made to order individually for each client, that is able to deal  exclusively with the designer, Janice Whitehorn, from the initial consultation, fittings and finishes, dealing with you personally, all the way. This is a site I recommend for weddings, because they’re indeed for a special celebration at least. The collection also offers some models that would be lovely for film and theater too. They’re quite pricey  (around 3000 pounds) and requires early booking as a limited amount of gowns are made per year (this is good, because it’s not a massively produced stock and it does really show. This is really for fairytale weddings.

As it’s based in UK and it does required some fittings with the client, this website is recommended mostly for people in this country. She makes big sizes too, in fact the gallery shows examples of gorgeous looking real brides. I think the collection speaks by itself.  If  I were rich LOL ….!

Faire Lady is a store that has bits of many items you might need for a Ren Fair, from Civil war versatile skirts, to cinchers,  ren corsets and bodices, pirate coats and chemises, petal skirts, tribal dance turkish vests, veils tribal and belly dance wear. It also features several accesories as belts, vests,  hoop skirts and even hats.  Below you’ll see a lovely pirate boned cincher:

You can opt from complete costumes or get the pieces separately. This lovely store based in Oregon features a wide collection of items that really stands out because of their sturdy aspect and fine quality. Chemises and ren bodices are offered in different colors and even all tapestry like this one. It seems to have also a nice push up effect…!  (aside of the gorgeous model I’m sure) Some are also reversible so you get two looks for the price of one!!

Petal skirts are delightful and offered in several colours,  there are
also chemises and skirts in plain colours so you can combine. particularly love this petal skirt  in purple and black , woudn’t mind to grab it!!

Isn’t it an amazing corset? for fairies or dryads?

Goblin Road make wearable and made to measure leather corsets to guarantee a perfect fit and they’re the “must-have” for a forest nymph garment. The model shown above is called “wood elemental” and also air and fire elemental models are available on the site. I feel tempted to order thos model precisely as I love the cut and that “made of plants” look. The back of the corset is grommetted and cinches with a leather cord. You can also ask for some runes and ornaments to be engraved, and have it with or without the “leaves” edges though I think that’s precisely the trademark of Goblin Road tops.

They’ll have soon a new collection called “Mythagos” with dragon designs and designs of angel and celestial creatures. I cannot wait to see them! and we’ll update this article with them.
