As we previously covered other brands of theatre make up as Kryolan or MAC we are now going to talk about a british company called Stargazer.
Stargazer was in the late seventies in UK and is still based in that country producing the great majority of their products in house .Since the eighties they started to expand to reach a wider audience and until present day they have expanded including a wide range of cosmetics and coloring products with vibrant colors that have become a reference among the underground, Glam, Gothic and alternative stores not only for the myriad of hues they offer but also because they are really affordable.
Ok, Ok! don't kill me, but seriously I do not like Twilight! I didn't enjoy much the books or the movies... but well I get it, I get it...! after a few e-mail requests I've decided to make this article, after all Halloween is there, and it's not always about what I want to dress ... but you readers ask for too! LOL
Aside you can use it as general make up also for getting that "pale vampire look" that can match also other vampire sexy dead man! And though Edward Cullen is not my cup of tea! ahem! (sorry ladies!!) I know a few guys though that would look really hot and sexy with a marble-look make up like that and could work for "vampire" look in general terms. So as "casual" and easy as it is... here we come with a few and fast tips and tricks to be a vampire (a twilight vampire) this Halloween. And on top of it... it's very inexpensive, you won't even need fangs!
Kryolan is a brand of professional, theatre and fx make up that I use for my performances. Among all make up brands I always recommend MAC (that we've previously mentioned) and Kryolan. As both have really high quality products, Kryolan is more focused to FX make up.
Another year and Halloween drawing near (hmm that was quite a rhyme)
With True Blood tv series and other vampire movies Vampires seems to be a hot topic again... I'd say a classic, but waves of popularity comes and go and it seems the vampire trend is back. Thus we've decided to make this article about vampire fangs and monster teeth...
Tim Burton's "The nightmare before Christmas" is one of my favorite movies... This stop-motion animated jewel released early nineties when I was a teenager. I went to the cinema seven times in a row when it was released just to learn the songs by hear (in those times to find the soundtrack where I was living was a complex task, but finally I found the little precious soundtrack of score that Danny Elfman scored for the movie)... "Oh somewhere deep inside of this bones....!" Yes, this film archieved what looked impossible, to make a charming prince to fall in love with out of a thin doll of a skeleton with such a great personality... the mighty Pumpkin King Jack Skellington. A gentle mix of genres, it even had some space for romance, and thus Jack and Sally became one of the most loveliest couple ever.. This movie also showed to the world the spirit of Halloween into countries like mine that have no tradition of it. Years later it started to become a cult movie and gain the recognition it initially deserved...
As I recommended before MAC make up is great so just a reminder in case of need. Women's long hair was replaced by very "boyish" haircut style , skirts shorter, a cigarrete in the hand, and ready for the Charleston!. A symbol of the woman liberation at the beginning of XX century... Then all you can do is to go the " twenties flapper look" adding a short dress, the right shoes, a headband and string of pearls... so delightfully vintage now! And here also some suggested reading about women in those years. And here in detail about 20's make up.
We previously covered in this blog an article about "fantasy contact lenses", if you add now some fantasy false eyelashes, there you got it.... You're not from this world for sure!!! Among the most striking ones that i've found and in a better quality range you can purchase Shu Uemura's false eyelashes, where I hightlight particularly this gorgeous model (about $50 though) handcrafted in light brown and black that you can see on the picture below (Premium velvet in light brown and black). This particular model has been sold several times on ebay too cheaper just looking for "feather eyelashes", but if you're not lucky and have the money to spare, they look amazing and you can always visit official Shu Uemura website.
I know you like pointy ears... me too! That's because you're a bit freak... yes, yes, me too!and below you can see me using them... !! :)
They are tricky though because can be easily purchased from almost halloween or costume store at low prices... but they are hideously looking... and you'll find everyone with pieces of "plastic" hanging loose from their ears looking everything but fantastic... :/ arg! So this article will give you an affordable alternative!
