Leafy creations: dryad-like urban faery wear and other items inspired by forest leaves

Above: leave cushions and blanket… tell me you don’t want these on your bed…  I DO they’re lovely!!

Leafy creations is a lovely store based in Australia that find in the forests and leaves their source of inspiration to make a lovely collection  of items inspired in the shape of the leaves.  Not only clothing but also home wear like blankets and cushions that will make your room look like a fairy lair or could be also a great asset for theater or performing atrezzo and props . I’d really to love to grab a few at least ;-) . Some of the items are customizable in color

Butterfly top: and you’re having fairy wings with it already

and combining in a love way with this pixie leaf style laced up skirt (I wish I had the movie for that) but it makes also a lovely  over-skirt  or belt if you want to wear even over jeans… I really highly recommend you all to wear this kind of things combining them with casual clothes in your everyday wear… you don’t have to wait till Halloween… Yes YOU don’t have to be a boring person!! ;-)

Leafy creations for forest pixies, dryads and fairies, but also for urban ones if you dare. They look warm,  comfortable and of the great quality, so you’d do well in bookmarking these :) .

Imp & Pixie: lovely and warm fae and pixie coats

Weather is getting colder and you may be looking for a pretty coat to feel warmer and comfortable. Imp and Pixie features a little but lovely collection of coats inspired in the forest magical creatures. They’re very wearable and would do also with any jeans for your urban daily life. I always say… why people does dress always in such standard way and pay a lot of money for  boring design that is no risky or special at all? That is when I come to find all these lovely al small manufacturers that come out with a comfortably but still eye catchy coat (suitable both for man and woman), not only to dress yourself as a pixie but also be comfortable when doing it if it’s an outdoors event.  I always think that in fantasy fairs most girls cover themselves only  with ivy, glitter  and fairy wings but forget about the risk to get a pneumonia LOL. If you cover yourself of course do it with something fitting and also useful for your daily “fae” wear.

fairy wings

Above: fairy wings can be taken out of the jacket… Isn’t that JUST ABSOLUTELY cool?

They´re made to order (in different color and lining) taking an average of a couple of weeks, though I read from the manufacturer soon they’ll have ready to buy articles. All quilting design is freestyle and will vary for each piece making each jacket unique. As winter is just around the bend you’d do better having a look it Imp & Pixie.

Have a look to our previous articles about urban faerie wear  and shoes like pixie pixie, senjo clothing and others. They match just so perfectly.

Fairysteps: goblin feet on the road

Fairysteps is a british company that specializes in fairy and pixie inspired footwear. With an urban edge though, it can be used both as  casual wear or as the perfect complement of an urban pixie. Solid and durable there are some models in stock and others that are made by order. It has also some lovely pouches and fairy bags to get ready for walking comfortably in the enchanted forests.

Zizzy Fay… Magical clothing…! what kind of fairy are you?

Zizzy fay is a lovely collection of fairy inspired clothing. You can design unique outfits by combining different layers of silks and natural fibres in your favorite colours. For ethically made party dresses, wedding attire, casual wear and clubbing gear that emphasise the elemental, goddess or fairy  within. I’d highlight the sleeves that you can purchase in different colours and combine with dresses, silk corsets and tops. This is a very smart idea as you can use them as an extra and interexchange from one combination to another.  But the site also offers some wings  along with some other  accesories as well. It also features a nice collection of pixie wear for men too and a couture service for wedding garments made to measure.  Colour patters go from white and ivory raw  silk to green and brown earthy tones.

I also love the fairy skirts and tops (look above) specially in the green combinations,  they have a insect-like air that mimic perfectly the creatures of the forest.
And of course the hooded (see “priestress dress” design” in the picture below) designs and  some lovelycoats that could be perfectly used as “fairy” casual wear as well.

What kind of fairy are you..?
