Ravenswood: amazing leather pirate coats

Ravenswood leather is a wonderful site that features all sorts of costumes made of leather. Prices can look a bit high at the first sight, but we're talking about really fine quality. They also feature a section to teach you how to take care of the pieces you buy in the store. But it doesn't only feature the most amazing pirate (also ren and futuristic looking)  coats for men (and women too) I've seen so far, there you can find all sorts of accesories from belts, to gauntlets, bracers and pirate hats to become a real pirate. They feature the pieces in several colors from plain and classic black to several shades of brown, green and even white.

Halloween is just "The Nightmare before Christmas"

Tim Burton's "The nightmare before Christmas" is one of my favorite movies... This stop-motion animated jewel released early nineties when I was a teenager. I went to the cinema seven times in a row when it was released just to learn the songs by hear (in those times to find the soundtrack where I was living was a complex task, but finally I found the little precious soundtrack of score that Danny Elfman scored for the movie)... "Oh somewhere deep inside of this bones....!" Yes, this film archieved what looked impossible, to make a charming prince to fall in love with out of a  thin  doll of a skeleton with such a great personality... the mighty Pumpkin King Jack Skellington. A gentle mix of genres, it even had some space for romance, and thus Jack and Sally became one of the most loveliest couple ever.. This movie also showed to the world the spirit of Halloween into countries like mine that have no tradition of it. Years later it started to become a cult movie and gain the recognition it initially deserved...

Into the Labyrinth: The realm of the Jareth, mighty Goblin King

Jim Henson's Into the Labyrinth is one of my favourite movies. When I was a little girl of course like many other women in my generation I was deeply in love with Jareth the mighty Goblin King (sigh!!) Yes, Jareth was one of the best and coolest characters ever... and we, the girls wanted every prince of our dreams has his bitter spice, or be Sarah... to end the movie quite differently (evil green). Isn't he sexy?

Feathers of all kind and colours!!!

Yes, I know it's much easier to purchase already made angel wings but if you're good at crafts you can really attempt to make something really awesome with this, from a barn owl cloak feather to angel wings, collards, feather chokers... possibilities are as inmense as the variety of colours. In Art Creations by Shir Lee shop lists a myriad of feather kinds and usually has also wholesale packages and discounts... I have got some iridescent feathers for me :) and some feather pads which I find particularly great for gauntlets or headpieces as to use them as the trim of a cloak.

Thai Nails... a creepy tribal touch!

Thai nails are used in traditional thai dance and rather well known among bellydancers. They are made of brass golden colour though can be easily customizable by painting them to give them another entirely and "creepy touch" giving the impression you have longer fingers and adding movement, eight in each set (not in the thumb). Unexpected and great looking I use them sometimes on stage, and can be easily found  here where in fact I purchased them.
