El Bosque animado is a shop specialized in handcrafted tribal faerie wear located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. We´ve covered this genre of fantasy clothing several times, with shops like "Senjo" or "Opal Moon designs" among other, and it's indeed a very popular one, but it surprised me that this time the shop (you can find them in their official Bosque animado Blog or also primarly based in facebook ) is heading from my own country, Spain. And it has indeed some really lovely pieces that will please not only tribal bellydancers but also modern urban dryads and faeries that want to add to their casual clothes a touch of magic. Mostly in green, brown and ivory matching earthy tones, the items from "El bosque animado" has a lovely tribal and vintage quality, both fantasy but wearable, and of course, all handcrafted and one of a kind pieces. You can commission similar ones but there are not two that are quite the same. There´s an email to contact the crafter if you want to ask about the prices
Timjam Design is a store that compile the designing works of Emelie Stina Viola Ekenberg. She was raised int he dark and magic and deep forests of Sweden making little dresses for her dolls, but it was when she moved to the cosmopolitan Amsterdam when she started to mingle genres, and try with her own patterns and clothes. She moved back to the forests to render garments inspired in faery tales folklore and Mother Nature. And in respect to it, as every "faery" clothing should beThere's a formal intention to make the items ecological, using eco fabrics, al the cotton, hemp and linen is dyed with vegetable dye, and she also recycles material. Now she's opened a workshop in Goa, India. As Emelie herself says she creates "Unique aware creations for unique aware people"

Crude thing is a quite a rarity... featuring equally rare items... From Gothic Lolita to Bellydance, from fairy tale and vintage to pop and futuristic elements... all mixed together to render some oddities The designer started working as hair stylist and worked in NY then to move to Portland to make very unique art wigs that sell all around the world: paintings, dolls, puppets that are life sized & used for performance art, marionettes, clothes, and sculptures with works published in a wealth of magazines and media press and exhibited in several countries. It really has a lovely collection of fantasy wigs of a quality far beyond the usual cosplay wigs and styled in a suitable way for gothic souls.
Moresca is a New York based company specialized in fairy-tale, fantasy and renaissance costumes. I had the chance to see the wonderful bodices, garments, gowns and accesories when I attended as performer to the faeriecon last 2009. I fell in love with the seagull short bodice but I wasn't fast enough! people grabbed them in one day... as lovely as they were. I'll probably will be getting this one for a videoclip. I think it's heavenly adorable. It belongs to the MORESCA "seagull" collection, though I think of an "artic wolf" too and that's the way I want to characterize myself with it.
edit: it seems this shop is no longer online
Faire Lady is a store that has bits of many items you might need for a Ren Fair, from Civil war versatile skirts, to cinchers, ren corsets and bodices, pirate coats and chemises, petal skirts, tribal dance turkish vests, veils tribal and belly dance wear. It also features several accesories as belts, vests, hoop skirts and even hats. Below you'll see a lovely pirate boned cincher:
The Princess Leia's slave bikini has been indeed very popular in fairs and conventions... and I has leave on as iconic since the "Return of the Jedi" movie. It's very sexy (for those fortunate girls that can wear it (not me right now ;-)). I remember when I first watched the "Return of the Jedi" movie in which actress Carrie Fisher was wearing this infamous and rather scarce of fabric costume, that she looked absolutely great, and it's in fact I wish I had that body (sigh!). Still if you need to refresh your memory...
Isis is a Goddess of Ancient Egyptian mythology and often is represented with this wings... thus the name of "isis wings" commonly used in bellydance. But even if you're not a dancer, this element will make your costume astounding!! A fairy, a goddess... its movement and ethereality is amazing. In one of my performance I shared the stage with my friends the Karinae Tribal troupe and as I use an opaque black isis wings they went on with organza black ones... of course they were amazing with them....! and I fell in love with these wings. In this picture you can see me performing with the Karinae wearing the isis wings.
Thai nails are used in traditional thai dance and rather well known among bellydancers. They are made of brass golden colour though can be easily customizable by painting them to give them another entirely and "creepy touch" giving the impression you have longer fingers and adding movement, eight in each set (not in the thumb). Unexpected and great looking I use them sometimes on stage, and can be easily found here where in fact I purchased them.
