Alex London Design is a small couture house based out of NYC born from the skills of talented clothing designer Alex London who was a child prodigy and founded this label as well as Artificial Intrigue. With a deep need to capture the images seen in the darkest and most beautiful parts of the human mind ...
Alex London uses, less then conventional techniques and asthetic. Somehow dark, and I'd say more warped than twisted, the company have rendered a wealth of awesome garments and accessories that will lure you and entice the eeriest corners of your soul.
Above: Rebirth feathered collar (the ruff of my dreams... sigh!, just perfect!). Alex London feature a lot of accessories featuring feathers that combine so magically with her creations.
Liquiwork is an ebay store that has bit of everything, much of its stuff doesn´t fit particularly in fantasy garments and fall directly into standard modern fashion, but among the collection you can find some outstanding one of a kind item mostly Vintage, or Hollywood or even victorian.
I was surfing ebay and I ended up in this listing, is a green and gold Ball costume... and it's just OUTSTANDING... judge yourself... look at that trail!! It´s really expensive... but it does really show.
They also feature some Hollywood-vintage-styled gowns that worth a look even if only for ideas.... But this green and gold... ooh it´s mossy and I love it!
They have also other garments closer to the Rococo and Marie Antoinette look like the following:
The Blonde Swan was established in the year 2000, with the goal of reinventing the art of millinery.
With the passion to blend both fashion and craftsmanship the site features a lovely collection of hats categorized in different styles from Steampunk to Elizabethan and Renaissance. What a fine collection!! Just click and enjoy! By the way aside from the official site you can also find some listings at their etsy store.
I´ll highlight a mini collection of hats inspired in "Alice in Wonderland" so you´ll find hats inspired by Alice, The Queen of Hearts (add it to our special article about Queen of Hearts), and the Mad Hatter. Constructed entirely from smooth black leather and accented by a detailed hatband with antiqued brass buckle. Oh I want black top hat for my daily wear!
Gypsy witch designs is a lovely site that features an unique collection of top hats, from burlesque, victorian, to gothic, Mad Hatter´s and even steampunk and pirate models. It has also some formal and wedding models for more (or less) traditional customers.. It has alsom some additional accesories like gloves fitting for example with the laced up steampunk inspired top hats. The gothic models are full of spiderweb and tulle with a very classy "widow" mood. And there are also some striped model that you would point out of My fair Lady movie. All of them are really lovely and worth a check!
Last Faeriecon (a fantasy fairy convention taking place each year in the east coast, in which by the way I've been performer myself the latest two years) some of my friends from band Woodland and Faun where showing off their fancy top hats... Hmm I should have followed the clues into "Luna Rana" stand but it was way too hectic for me to visit the booths then, and now I'm trying to catch up with all the cool stuff that I missed :). I saw this lovely top hats close, so I can tell you they're the best quality! and they really look cool
