PungoPungo Wigs: Games of Thrones, Star Wars and other cosplay wigs

PungoPungo Wigs features a lovely selection of wigs, had-styled to match perfectly some of the characters from acclaimed tv series Games of Thrones, carefully braided and arranged to be almost exact replicas, and still SO MUCH MORE than that. It is a great resource also for other cosplay characters and even realistic looking lace-front wigs.

Wigs look high quality, very think, heat resistant  and some exquisitely and braided braided... from well known characters like GoT Daenerys, Cersei or Margaery to the new Star Wars Rey, but also high quality wearable wigs (including lace front wigs) for your daily wear, with some exquisite and natural colours. And also some fantasy models featuring vivid hues, perfect for fairies, mermaids and other magical creatures. I can´t say more without seeing them in person but there are a lot of happy clients pics around to judge.   Below some of my favourites:

Below: Absolutely lovely ginger lace front.... I´ve always wanted to try red hair (sigh) or golden (my natural hair is almost ivory white :))

Above: Cersei or also suitable for a Renaissance Princess

I particularly loved some examples they listed in their Etsy store that look super angelic and prerraphaelite, for lovers of "vintage illustrations of fairytale or renaissance" princesses, these are a delight regarding colour selection. In fact even most of the wigs cosplayed after characters can be chosen in different colours and blends.

Above: White Blonde PungoPungo´s wig and comparison to original in the series

If you want to just be amazed by the level of detail when imitating the original styles have a look to this custom-Margaery styled wig... insanely accurate! :)

We previously made an article about how to dress like Khalessi Daenerys in which we had previously featured some selected articles from this store, but I'm totally updating that article soon to include more PungoPungo´s work, and in the site you will find not only wigs styled and carefully braided  in the different styles appeared in the series but also accessories, costumes and jewellery to make your outfit just perfect. And it doesn't stop in the most popular character but other´s as well, and also from different fantasy series like "Once upon a time" or movies like "Frozen" famous Elsa.

Below: Rey (from Star Wars) Cosplay Wig

You still don't find what you need? or the colour you need? They also encourage direct contact for special commissions, :)

As a funny note, they even sell "sideburns" for men in different colours, hahah  great for Steampunk lovers, I always force my boyfriend to keep his sideburns for this reason hahah (Darcy´s style you know) so hmmm just in case he decides to shave them LOL

Art by Aelia: gorgeous Dragon necklace drapers and other animal totems

Aelia Petro from Canada is the young crafter and designer behind ART OF AELIA . She is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrating, painting, working in graphic design but also creating  detailed custom jewellery, which is based in marine mammals (she worked with whales and was fascinated by them) and other animals that are usually very difficult to find in jewellery... but of course and as featured in this blog she also makes fantasy creatures... DRAGONS!!

The necklaces are made in a variety of materials including pewter, polymer clay and resin. Each piece is unique and entirely handmade so there are not two that are the same.

Above: Dragon draper necklace  hand-painted individually in purple/galaxy colours, though you can order them in custom colours or with metal finish (I particularly loved it it silver tones and green/earthy ones). This gently rest on your neck and absolutely awesome. The silver one would be considered in the style of Game of Thrones Daenerys style, but I find these much more delicate in each  its own unique way. Still an option for cosplayers of that character that don't want to use the generic replicas. And not only necklaces and drapers but also bracers and other accessories.

But what if you have a totem animal? Like she has or is able to commission it. I love some of the  harness. I´d love to see a rat for myself. These are so cute and unique :) Love it :). It has no metal finding or bail, they just hung so realistically, though if you think it´s not safe and prefer to add a bail you can ask for it.

She also makes resin cabochons with silhouettes, some of them featuring marine life like sharks and whales, but when you see them it's like looking into a piece of the sea underwater. :)

Midsummer´s Night Masquerade : mushroom pendants and other pixie things

Megan Johnson is the artist behind the store and company  The Midsummer´s Night Masquerade based in USA. Online store is based in Inselly at the moment though Megan also encourages direct contact through her network pages in facebook page and instagram (linked at the end of the article). The store has specialized in handmade masquerade masks, crowns, fairy wings and also jewelry and accessories. All of them inspired by and for fantasy, from fairy  to larp and even Steampunk undertones.  Megan started to make masks in the late 90´s because she wanted to make her own wearable fantasy items like masks, wreaths and garlands, fairy wings and jewellery. With time she started to improve her skills and make professional items and thus Midsummer´s Night Masquerade was created, first out of her need and love to do things for herself and soon after to share with others.

She has the most lovely pendants and mushrooms with vials... very original and magical :)

The Mushroom are made also in bigger sizes as ornaments, but I particularly love the vial pendants as they seem to enclose some kids of green forest magic :)Above hand sculpted flower pendant with vial.

She also has some variations with gorgeous mushrooms. Pendants are about 25-30 $ and absolutely made by hand, which makes each one different and unique.

Above: supercute Mushrooms lanterns (off and on)

not only you will find things to wear and accessories, but also some cute fairy  lamps that you could use for your fairy shoots in the forest. They are powered by tealight led candles and totally safe but look really enchanting. Made in sculpey and absolutely handmade for a fairly affordable price (around 40$).

She also has masks and sometimes garlands and fairy wings on sale, these items come out more scarcely so I'd recommend to make a commission directly to her if interested. Some examples below:

Abstráctika: pixie, tribal boho faeriewear. Fantasy garments for daily use

Abstráctika is a store based in Madrid Spain and run by designer Teresa Abstráctika

Above: pixie faery dress top by Abstractika

Most of the outfits are made of cotton and viscose jersey. The designs are cut and sewn by herself and also handpainted with water colour resistant paint. Everything looks comfortable, cozy, a little bit pixie and very tribal and organic. A former circus artist Teresa designed the collection not only to be edgy but very wearable. If you like boho-tribal psy clothing this is one must stop :). There are also many items in brown, green and earthly colours so attention "mori girls" as it's also a nice resource for items to layer :) There are also lots of darker colours and blacks for those with a more gothic taste. They are also great for tribal/bellydance artists too and even some models for practising yoga. Everything seem to be cut to adjust to your body-shape and there are some cute red and striped models that reminisce designer´s former life as circus artist (nice for a spice of steampunk if needed).

Above: I love this idea, you can wear it as a shawl attached to your dress or as a hood, pointy ends makes it look very fairy. Some models feature pagan elements for those into "Strega" or "dark mori" fashion.

Some models feature assymetrical cuts and pointy parts that make them look very elven with slightly ruffled ends due to the serging process.

You will find also some long maxi dresses and even accessories, one lovely store for fairies that now approach to warmer days in summer.

Labradorite fairy pendant by Abstractika

All items are made to order and usually takes slightly over a week to be delivered from their headquarters in Spain.

I´d really love to try some of these for my daily wear, bookmarked! :)

HolyClothing: Renaissance, Boho, Romantic, Gypsy and Pixie faerie wear!

Above: me wearing Holy Clothing Arwen square neck dress in Jade Green (no filter photo so you can appreciate the true colour of the dress)

HolyClothing  is a a clothing company based in India  that manufactures  bohemian-romantic-renaissance clothing in an ethically managed factory.  They have hired a team of skilled tailors to offer their exclusive catallogue of garments, tunics, skirts, and tops. This is a rather long article so three words to sum it up: AFFORDABLE+QUALITY+DIVERSE. As a performer of fantasy music I am always looking for these three things and I had stumbled upon this site several times :). So here we go with a full feature!

HolyClothing proves to be an excellent resource not only for  those looking for affordable medieval or Renaissance options but also for those wanting to keep a faery-pixie-boho style for their everyday wear.  Official site is run in several languages and it is easy to navigate. They offer instant discounts if you sign the newsletter and join their networks, and shipping is reasonable (free for purchased over 99$ actually).  I particularly love to dress in "fantasy style" on a daily basis and there are plenty of options to choose from. You can decide if with jeans or with a long flowing skirt, if to stroll down the street or attend to a faery event. Ranging from full dresses (long, short, with and without sleeves) and gowns to tops, skirts, boleros, cloaks and even coats, the catalogue is diverse spreading through different styles. From comfortable and easygoing tops to romantic lace and fluted sleeves. There are even some velvet coats that would suit steampunk or victorian style if chosen in black or brown colour (which are usually available).

If you are in amazon, they also list items in amazon.com including some "prime" articles. Sadly not for Spanish users (amazon.es) yet :) but their official site offer international shipping :).

Below: Paloma Hooded dress in red... perfect for urban Little Red Riding hoods!

Above: Pixie Boho Georgette Inlay Elastic Waist Zigzag Hem Sun Dress. I love it in Burgundy and Green. Perfect for  an alternative "Tinkerbell" and perfect to still feel "fairy" in hot summer days.

Not only they are affordable but they are also of great quality and handmade in fine fabrics. Some pieces feature exclusive embroidery patterns that is also done by hand!.  Don't be misled by the price, the actual garments look beautiful and beautifully finished.
They also seek the feedback from their customers, sharing "works in progress" and future ideas and designs through their different networks sites (see links at the end of the article). I'm particularly excited about the ones with long floating sleeves. Garments are pre-washed & easy care.  You can wash them in the delicate program of your washing machine and it's recommended to iron on the inside to avoid lines on the fabric. Due to their special dying techniques, this simple guidelines to maintain the rich deep colours are recommended for a long lasting use of them.

The models are offered in solid colours mostly, but the range of options is great. I particularly like that besides the classic black and white, they offer too lush earthly colours like jade and forest green, golden beige, burgundy and browns. And even some lovely purples and deep blues. On limited runs they also have models in less usual colours like silver, pale pink and blue. Almost 20 different hues  can be found through the site.  They use a special double dye technique, dyeing first in grey and then into the final colour. So whatever your element  may be and whatever season you aim for, you will likely find an option that suits you. I love to be able to choose from a big palette, and the fact that some tops are offered in such basic colours also provides pieces that you can easily customize on your own when you are. Regarding this I'd love to highlight their lovely flowing  tops with fluted sleeves. It is a compliment to say that the most complex garments are rich but not overdone.

Some of my  favourite tops: Isadora top (waiting for them to re-list it in smaller sizes). Due to high demand some of the sizes are not available in certain models but they seem to have a quick rotation for this.

Above: Isadora top in purple and Rhiannon in burgundy.  I'd love these ones in almost every single colour they have :) perfect for further  customisation, as chemise for bodices, floating and fairy :). They have several models of tops with fluted sleeves or medieval designs.

HolyClothing offer sizes from S up to 5XL so even if you are on the plump side you will find garments fitting. There are fairies of all sizes after all right... and it is really frustrating how limited some brands regarding this aspect tend to be. Each model has a comprehensive size chart with the actual measurements of each piece so you can pick the right size more accurately. But if you still fret about choosing the right size they encourage contact and have a super-friendly customers assistance replying very shortly through their contact email.

Another favourite pick is their "Irish Renaissance" dress (Irish peasant style). Super affordable and basic, great for customisation. I'm thinking myself of ordering one in. They have a model with the chemise and also "over-dress" only options.

Below Silver Pewter Gwendolyn Enchanted Flowing Velvet Lace-Up Hooded Maxi Jacket

I like this jacket in velvet green or Silver (as shown) because they are very elven

They  had the courtesy of sending me this dress  Arwen so I could myself provide a review and below you have my "happy client" pictures. The dress is stunning and of high quality, the delicate floral embroidered fabric is the exact same hue as the rest of the dress, due to their special technique of dying the entire garment once it is entirely made, so every trim, fabric and lace matches perfectly. The black lacing adds to the Renaissance feel to it and despite having ordered a size slightly bigger than my own, the dress fits stunningly because it really falls on your curves the right way, enhancing your waist and resting gently on your hips to flow down to your heels. The fluted sleeves are gorgeous and makes you want to roam through mossy green places with it. Mine is in "Jade Green" size M and you can see it below on myself :) and judge if it suits me well. I particularly felt like out of the Lord of the Rings myself! :). I am rather curvy, I have a rather small waist but big hips, the design made me feel like accentuating but not exaggerating  my  natural shape in a gentle way.  I think this one would made a lovely bridal gown. In fact I wouldn't mind to have one in white for a pre-raphaelite mood shooting.

To finish wish they offer an immediate 5$ discount if you sign their newsletter and they keep on making contests and give-aways and networks on constant basis so you'd rather follow them to be up to date regarding these, and may be picked as lucky winner of one to judge yourselves :). They have a satisfaction guaranteed or money back and free international shipping over 99$. In their official site they also have a rotation of  "deals of the week"  and sales.

Accentuate Clothing: Celebrating International Women´s day in YFC

Today we celebrate the International day for the Women, and thus today we feature a feminine, unique and lovely store called "Accentuate Clothing" a USA based clothing label that specializes in handmade flowing, delicate, comfortable pixie-fairy-tribal clothing made in stretch knit fabric, for all of you goddesses who likes to celebrate your inner magic everyday.

Designer Diane Gardner created this label that shows an earthy almost pagan flair into it.  Some of the dresses and tops features flowing extensions, almost ragged and organically looking adding a 3 dimensional flowing quality to the garments that be appealing to all tribal and bellydancers out there (at least to me as a singer and performer they look like a "must bookmark") Aren´t these gorgeous?

Of course right now I don't sport the figure for this, but there are several long sleeved tops and different styles that offer a zillion possibilities of layering up :) You just have to find a way to let it flow and radiate from you like in this picture.

Above: Purple tribal set by Accentuate Clothing, like a blooming flower.

They also have a variety of pants, tops and  skirts with unique patterns and designs.  All garments are finished with topstitched seamlines.  All garments are cut, sewn, trimmed handprinted and handmade by Diane and her assistant Witney.  They also encourage direct contact for custom orders.

I'm in love with this Organic leafy green coat :/ sigh! :). Perfect for forest dwellers

Lotus and Co is an online store that specializes in nose septums made of surgical steel and  with a lovely tribal/fairy/druid design.  The store is based in USA but they ship worldwide. Some of the models require you pierce your nose, but if you´re reluctant to do that (which is my case) you have also some ready to clip in models. You will find models in golden, brass and silver colour, some of them featuring gemstones and intricate filigree shapes. Are you in the mood of something edgy and daring to wear today? Spirit Fox Crystals: Amulets for Druids

Spirit Fox Crystals ships is based in Illinois and the store ships only within US territory. But you can contact them and get a quote for the shipping if you leave out of the United States.  I stumbled upon this store through their instagram account (all links at the end of the article), soon afterwards they made a giveaway (I didn't win, alas! but this is a nice reminder to subscribe to their account so you can be aware of these events). I found a lovely collection of druid earthly amulets, with caps sculpted in clay in the shape of mushrooms, roots, leaves and other forest treasures. The pendants are made of crystals, and in the store the crafter has added some lovely text about their meaning (and purpose).

Above, super shiny green calcite pendant, it almost looks it has its own light

Below: Quartz pendant with sculpted clay cap.Store lists quite a variety of necklaces in these fashion and they are all one of a kind. They are gorgeous.
