Hedgiefelt: warm and cozy pixie felt fashion

Above: cute autumn-coloured brown felt bodice made by Hedgiefelt. I love it! It´s very pixie!

Felt feels always so natural and organic...I confess I have a weakness for this material (to the point I even tried to felt yarn myself with not such a great success) because there is something rough and unprocessed  and raw in it that I actually love.  It feels warm and cozy too.

Hedgiefelt is a store based in Lithuania that specializes in  high quality handmade felt-made clothing and accessories. Made in nature-inspired colours and showcasing some lovely patterns combining felt with some other materials like silk, the collection is elegant (even f some white lovely gowns for daring alternative brides that want to opt for something "less classical"), but overall keeping that pixie, ragged, organic vibe that usually goes along with felt-fashion.

Lovely pixief felt white dress

They also run a blog but it´s in their native language, still you may want to have a look with translators just to see already made pieces and previous works :)

Below, an absolutely GORGEOUS black felt dress by Hedgie felt. I'd love this in ivory or greens. They look so elegant and comfortable.

A. J. Machete & Sons: Fine Tailoring for Gentlemen

Dear Gentlemen, this is your final destination...

I´d wish to see my boyfriend in half of the frocks listed in this lovely store. I confess I'm addicted to Victorian and Regency  and period drama movies, oh those fine looking gentlemen, with their frocks, vests, and cravats (that you can order in custom fabrics)... OK, this is where I sigh and stop and I tell you men of the world, this is what you should be wearing!  And I mean it ! :)

Above: gorgeous Military tailcoat inspired in XVIII-XIX naval coats... Do you want your own  Ross Poldark or Captain Wentworth? Force you man to wear this... Do you want to impress us ladies? Wear this! :) Well, that said, I totally love the picture and my votes up to bring this back as daily wear. Bold, masculine and elegant, enough said!

With their studio based in Denver, these tailors and artisans have specialized in traditional  sewing using fabrics and material of high quality. A.J. and partner Lianna offer handmade pieces of high quality standard, durable and comfortable. They make bests in many different styles, also with patterns inspired in more recent periods like the 20´s. Hedges8: Historical and fantasy garments... fancy an Austen-inspired tea party?

Ok, I confess it. I love "Love and Prejudice" and yes I have an obsession with men with cravats and sideburns, like almost every girl in the world... sigh! And I watch Regency and Period dramas inspired in Jane Austen´s novels, including some silly spin-offs like "Austenland" and "Lost in Austen".

To be true, I love the way men used to wear in the Regency Era. Even if I think that women clothing was not so up to the elegance of the gentlemen in this aspect,  I find the whole period very romantic, for obvious reasons. Oh I certainly would like to see my partner in these garments.

So making a little random search I found this really lovely and adorable store in etsy called HEDGES8. The prices are really affordable and if you plan to make a special  tea-party of if you want to represent a theatre play, this is a rather sweet and I repeat, affordable option to look at. And surprisingly the store is based not in the UK but in USA! :)

As items are hand-made obviously most of them are one of a kind but they also encourage commissions and custom orders.

There are plenty of Regency sewing patterns available in ebay for Regency costumes, but if you don't happen to be good at couture work, I found the store a good option.  They also have some lovely prince-charming/princess medieval/fantasy gowns that I bookmarked as well, though I will keep this entry highlighted for their Regency catalogue.

Fine ladies... and gentlemen. Below gowns, coat and poet blouse-shirt by HEDGES8 .

You could  then complete your look also adding a few regency complements like parasols, hats and even teapots from the UK-based store Austen´s gift shop.

Artistic Rite: mermaid, fairies and elemental headpieces

"Ritual adornments through Transmutation and Alchemy of Spirit"

Crafter and designer Deborah Wright loves fantasy and beauty and it shows in each one of the hand-made pieces featured in Artistic Rite etsy shop.  I accidentally stumbled upon this mermaid headpiece and I fell in love right away. I had to see the store and I was delighted to find a luscious, tribal and sensual collection of crowns and headpieces. Some are art-noveau inspired, others are organic and nature-inspired, all of them taken right away from the pages of a fairytale. Featuring feathers, gems, lace and all kind of materials blended to create unique, eye-catching pieces. They also welcome custom orders but take into account that sadly they only ship within the United States.

Most of the items come with really beautiful professional pictures so you can judge how striking they can be if they go along with the right make up and style.  The store also feature a nice collection of small accessories too, like rings and necklaces, though the absolute highlight are the headdresses in my opinion.

Crafer also keeps this blog if you want to dive deeper in her world and creations

Wild plum Boutique: cute fairy wings and accessories

Above: Iridescent glow in the dark fairy wings by Wild Plum Boutique (gorgeus) and models in different colours, in orange, it looks like "fire".

Wild plum Boutique   is a store based in Texas (USA) that features a lovely collection of fairy-inspired accessories from fairy wings (including some gorgeous led-lit models) to antlers, horns, headpieces and even feather eyelashes.

The store feature a large collection of polymer clay sculpted horns, pixie, demon, stag and even unicorns. They come in all sizes and colours. For the ones oriented to fairies they also have antennae headpieces and even tribal feather art-noveau inspired head-dresses.

All pretty lovely and way beyond my words, simply enjoy surfing the store.! :)

Below: Tribal skirt available in different colours. I like the fact that all "tribal fairy wear" they do are in earth-nature colours and seem to blend really well to make even full outfit combinations. I particularly liked these skirts, also suitable for daily wear.  I've been a bit obsessed with green lately so below you can see some highlights in green :)

Above: gorgeous handpainted luna moth fairy wings

Below: They don't only sell fairy wings and accessories but also lovely tribal fairy/pixie wear, that could also fit sci-fi cosplay (Star Wars) or even a dystopic future one.

Wig Fever: Affordable Lace Front and Cosplay wigs

Wig fever is a store specialized in cosplay wigs, wether you want to dress like your favourite manga/anime or cartoon (even Disney's Frozen good and affordable option), Wig Fever offer an extensive collection of wigs, in all colours, styles and lengths, some already styled to match your favourite character.  They are affordable and made of synthetic fiber but most of them have not that shiny cheap look, and look rather convincing in the photographies shown in the store, which they claim they are the actual and real photographies of the articles.  But if you are not a fan of pastel and japanese-styled wigs, you also have a nice selection of more natural colours and styles as well.

Below: Ana´s Wig from Frozen in a nice honeydew colour, with braids and the white streak of hair. In Wig Fever most of the cosplay-styled wigs come along with pictures of the original characters.

But you don't have to match it to any character. I found this long blonde straight below that I highlighted (even if it´s inspired in an anime character) because it makes me think of Kira from "The Dark Crystal" movie, just in case one day I want to dress like the "gelfling". All I would have to do is to make two tiny braids in the sides, don't you think?

This is another that I love and I feel inclined to get :( snif. I want so many!. I love the colour and the wavy style. It is very romantic and dolly like.

But more than that, I happen to have a good friend that has already bought several of these wigs and she made extremely beautiful pictures wearing them, so now I also have her own personal opinion assuring that these are decent quality wigs.

I want to highlight that they also have a rather large selection of lace-front wigs, these look like they are born from your scalp and are more realistic.
I would like to get one and try the real quality of these wigs  soon and get back to this article after trying the product in my hands. I feel inclined to these lace front reddish brown or grey models. They are made of synthetic fibers  but they can be styled with curling irons. In the pictures and the feedback I've got from friends the impression is very positive.

Below: one of the models that tempt me, reddish brown lace front :). The lace-front wigs are in trend because they are indeed more realistic.  If you fancy to change your style but you are not fond of dying or styling your hair this Wig Fever is a good option for a temporal change!

Astra Star: affordable LARP medieval gowns with pre-raphaelite vibe

Astra Star is an ebay store that features a lovely collection of larp/fantasy/tudor inspired lovely gowns. The overall design of all the garments is rather similar and it is more fantasy than historical, but some of the white-cream-gold version remind me to pre-raphaelite paintings like the very famous Accolade

Below: Gold and red dress with hood, laced in front and back to adjust to the waist. I love the combination of red and gold, This would make a lovely option for Christmas too.

Take in notice the pictures from the store are taken with a hopped underskirt which is not included in the sale. Prices are really affordable, though there are a couple of more detailed and expensive garments, obviously meant for bridal gowns.

Above: Do you feel light or dark?

The choice of colours is diverse and not cheesy, showing mostly black and whites, white with silver or gold, or black and dark blue for more wicca-looking style.
Overall, a small but rather lovely collection, that despite sharing similar pattern offer a neat collection of different "moods" and matching colours.

Grim sweetness: Vintage bottles and upcycled fairy/steampunk clothing

Grim Sweetness is a store that specializes in vintage-looking bottles. A lovely collection of props and aged bottles with cork and embellished with wax and beads that all together look a witch´s collection of magic potions or seller with fake miraculous remedies.

If you are a fine Victorian lady wanting to enhance your beauty you might also wand to add some of these to your dresser too.  As an enthusiastic for fantasy photography and the re-enactment of sceneries, I really find important to find the right "details" to bring a scene to life, and this is where you may find yourself surfing and finding little "treasures" like these.

Among the bottles also some curiosities you would find in an enchanted bazaar like this enchanted lamp (probably genie is included too).

The overall store has that vintage (almost dusty) feeling. With some cobweb they would certainly have also that "eerie" "ghostly" factor too. But Grim Sweetness also features clothing and the love for a variety of fantasy genres is shown in the pieces the store features. Mostly made from recycled vintage clothing you can find fairy-steampunk belts, and even full garments like some of the examples below.

Above: Black and brown fairy/steampunk upcycled skirt embellished with antique brass eyelet and brass leaf charms.  I like its organic shape mixed with the more edgy steampunk-undertones.

I found myself in the store though surfing in the upcycled clothing. I have a fascination myself of turning old clothing into fantasy wear, and some of the rendered results are gorgeous and inspiring (and let´s say, quite affordable too). So overall a really lovely CURIOUS of store full of CURIOSITIES.

Blacksnake Workshop: Magic worlds creations from Steampunk to Goth!

Above: Blacksnake wearing her hand-made hat and creations. I love her top hats, they're perfect for alternative Mad Hatters :)

Blacksnake Phoenyx is a living chameleon.  When I lived in Barcelona I stumbled upon this lady quite a lot of times, and I always had to take two seconds to recognize her, she changes so much from one event to another in such an awesome way! I've always felt impressed and she certainly has mastered the art of cosplaying. Always original and ever-changing, It didn't surprise me to find out that many of her outfits and accessories were made by herself, and she seemed to burst with eye-catchy ideas. It was obvious that she likes to renew clothes. But the new is that she has opened a little workshop and now sell some of her creations in fantasy/horror/cosplay events :) so you have now the chance to purchase some of her creations or to customize your old non-original dull accessories into a one of a kind piece.
Above: Magic Worlds hat, with a distinct steampunk/lovecraftian flair! :)

From Steampunk to victorian decadence and even goth or macabre tones... the originality is undeniable! Headpieces, hats, masks... have a look yourself!

Above: Headpiece with horns inspired in Maleficent. Deliciously gothic. Hmm I'm inclined to a set like this in white :)

So far, and until she opens an online store youc an have a look to examples of her work in her facebook page, where she encourages contact if you want to purchase or commission one of her creations.

Don't you love this lovely top hats? So Burton-like, they remind me to "A nightmare before Xmas somehow"
