Rooster baby: amazing feather headpieces

Rooster Baby is a delightful little store based in Oregon, USA, by the way of my favourite spots of the planets since I performed there myself in Faerieworlds festival some years back. :) Rooster baby showcases  a lovely selection of feather headdresses,, somehow wild looking and unique  just perfect for tribal dancers. The crafter is a fanatic of feathers, quill connoisseur,  whose love for her craft has grown into a business of  with high quality quill couture rendering unique and one of a kind pieces  made only with finest materials  and  hand pieced, stitched, glued and made to last while you dance and play.  And not only head pieces but also all kind of accessories made of feathers, earrings, hair extensions

Also for those concerned  the feathers come from cruelty-free, found and repurposed some from her own birds or coming from reliable sources. The leather used comes from recycled straps.

Also feel free to network and join it at facebook where Rooster Baby sometimes organizes some contests and give aways. I'm certainly giving it a try! :) Enjoy!

Evil Ogis Garb: historical and fantasy accessories, jewellry and garments for a fairytale princess

Evil Ogi´s Garb is a lovely little store specialized in fantasy and historical garments from  Renaissance, Medieval, Victorian, and Rococo... with alot of Gothic and Fantasy  touches!) They make Tudor Renaissance Necklaces, Earrings, Girdles, and Dresses perfect for Renaissance fairs and fairy events. Become the princess of a fairytale, and if you need a crown for that you even can choose or order a custom one. This is a collection of gowns and jewels for fairytale princesses and some of the garments indeed take name from well known stories. They also have a note that if you like any item in different colour or size they welcome the contact to see what they can do. And the same for accessories as they can make it custom colour to fit the garment you already have.

You can "like" and interact with them also in facebook when they make regular give aways and contests.

Above: Ice crown that we had already mentioned in our Snow Queen special article.

Example of collar for bodice, a complement that will make your historical garment look amazing! I love this clear with pearls one.

They have a evil ogi´s garb store in ebay where they have a lot of garments and accessories listed as well as their store policy. It is worth a visit to see some of the examples of dresses and jewellry of their store/portfolio. I was absolutely in love with the "sapsorrow" dress, an italian renaissance cut gown. They also have other gowns in this style and even can make a custom coloured one. (sigh, in love with it). They feature a lot of really lovely white-cream-ivory versions that would be delightful for alternative bridal wear as well.

They  also have an etsy store under the name of "recycledrockstah" and they have listed some of the custom orders with examples as well as ready to go items. Remember that if you make a custom order you must allow the seller the time specified (around 3 weeks for garments) to completion.

But also ready to provide some attires for the prince... I love the doublets they have listed. I'd love to get one for my man (I mean "prince"!) in black.

It also features a nice collection of victorian lace cuffs and chokers that will delight victorian, gothic or steampunk lovers.  To be  brief a bit of everything for all fairytale, renaissance and victorian lovers and definitely a lovely collection of items to check out.

Woodland wild :Lovely Elflocks Dread Falls and other fairy fancies...!

Above: Dryad Elflocks with Antique Rose Headdress

Woodland Wild is the new clothing/accessories line created by my friend Bryony Whistlecraft (picture above). Isn't she gorgeous! Among all my friends I can tell you she has always been one with the most elegant sense for faery fashion and now she's started to sell some of her handmade things creating Woodland Wild (lucky we!)

The highlight of her recently launched store are the "Elflocks" which are lightweight  100% wool hair extensions (also known as falls or dread falls) that tie into your hair to quickly and easily transform your appearance. Ideally you have to have yoru hair long enough to be able to put your hair up into two buns to wear it but if having shorter hair they offer some clips to fix this..Woodland Wild sells Elflocks in five beautiful shades suitable for faeries, dryads, mermaids, pixies and sprites each blending a lovely combination of hues. My favorite pick so far is the Dryad variation, shown in the picture above, because it looks so natural and earthly (sigh! -me wants!). It is stated that new colours are coming... oh I'd be craving for a snowy/grey/white/cream wintery combination (as I´m a light blonde!). And I guess they will be open for commissions very soon. They are perfect for costumes, special events and every day wear. We also sell lovely Art Nouveau inspired headdresses (like the rose headdress shown in the upper picture), pixie hoods, acorn bags (absolutely in love), jewellery and other treasures. Everything is handmade with love in our home studio, based in the beautiful Yorkshire Pennines.

Don't forget to "like" Woodland Wild in Facebook in order to network

And remember Bryony also have a blog about all things fantasy and fairy that is absolutely amazing in which you'll find also lots of recommendations for fantasy garments called FAE NATION and that definitely worth a look

Flapping socket: amazing mechanical steampunk wings and more!

Up there you can see an example in the video  but you can see some other examples in motion including some "fairy mechanical wings" in their youtube channel :) wings have been making ergonomic movable mechanical wings since 1999 for performers and fascinated with attaching wings to human form. Oh I wish I could comission a pair for my concerts, snif, because though I confess I'm more into fairy/angel wings, I love the way they move and the clever mechanisms you can see in the videos. It is indeed very inspiring and it's in my actual and favorite bookmarks.

They also have some listings at etsy and you can also network at their facebook page.

Pisa Verde Shoes: Fantasy, color and innovation for your feet!

I recently made a super quick trip to the Canary Islands (my native place) for a performance concert, on my trip back I stopped by La Laguna (Tenerife) and stumbled upon a super vibrant looking shop with such amazing shoes. I'm not the kind of person that would stop by a shoe-shop unless I need actually to buy a pair but it was so strikingly eye-catchy that I had to get in. The description is "fantasy-colorful-vibrant-rainbowish and somehow vintage and pixie" all together. Even in a hurry I spent some time in awe and had a look to the lovely shoes and boots to find out  it was the work of a local crafter and artisan  with international projection and this lovely trademark that is PISAVERDE . Here you can see a video of the actual show I saw I found in youtube, though they have reached London Candem too! :) They're really unusual, rare and above all look pretty comfortable and somehow very "fairy" too!
